3 Steps to Self Care for Entrepreneurs {Ep 041}
Who read the title for that episode and was like umm… really Brooke? REALLY? If you felt the judgment creep in when thinking about why a small business podcast would have ANY interest in discussing self care for entrepreneurs, I would love to invite you to suspend that judgment for a sec and really listen in.
The past few months have become a MAGNIFYING glass for so many things that our culture needs help with, from schools to workplace issues to overall systemic problems. It’s not that they weren’t there before, but bringing a country and system to its knees because of a pandemic is highlighting the things that we need to work on most. And for me, one of those things that has been magnified and is all of the sudden a GLARING issue in my own life and my family, is self care. So many business owners put themselves LAST on the old to-do list, and self care for entrepreneurs is one of the best kept secrets when it comes to actually growing your business! Because when you take care of yourself, you can better serve everyone around you, including your family, your clients, and anyone else that might need you.
In today’s episode, we are going to chat about taking care of YOURSELF as an entrepreneur and business owner right now, and what self care for entrepreneurs REALLY looks like.
I have seen my fellow CEO’s and moms freaking out because of decisions that have to be made for the upcoming school year, and the guidelines that we are looking at, and MAN it is not an easy season for the CEO’s who work from home and are suddenly in the midst of finding themselves having to DO IT ALL.
Raise your hand if you’re running a business (or more than one!) and have to homeschool on top of that! I so, so feel you right now.
In the past few months, we have had to be super focused on everyone else’s needs because we don’t have the village that we all talk about yet somehow can’t find. And that is happening in the best of times, throw in a pandemic? All bets are off. Let’s look at some actionable steps when it comes to self care for entrepreneurs so that you can take care of yourself in this season so that you can better serve your family, your clients and your students in an amazing way.
