She asked recently for help in sharing some photography business tips for the new years, and 16 photographers gave their tips! I won’t share them all with you, but I wanted to share what I wrote:
Be YOU. Ultimately there are so many people that do what you do. Finding different products and offerings is great, but ultimately what will set you apart is YOU and your story. Keep moving forward! Don’t worry about what others are doing, be you and run your business in a way that makes you proud. Don’t let others influence your business decisions!
I cannot stress this enough… and I know how damn hard it is. I struggle with comparison almost every single day, it is insanely difficult to keep your eye on what you’re doing instead of looking at others!
But I will tell you that when I started doing MY thing, being myself, and embracing what makes me different, my business took off. I know that it may not seem like anyone cares that you really, really love unicorns. Or that you think birds are creepy. Or that you really really love glitter. But there is someone out there that will CONNECT with you because of those little things that you think are insignificant!
